Tomorrow morning I'm on my way to San Francisco for an engagement session. I'm really excited for the 60 degree weather, Calfornia sun, as well as the chance I'll have to hang out with an awesome couple all day. It's just a short trip seeing as how I'll be back in Salt Lake on Sunday afternoon-but I'm excited nonetheless. (Also a little anxious about leaving my baby overnight)
We got a nice little e-mail from Aaron's work reminding us about daylight savings and to update our 72 hour kits.
"Environmental Health and Safety urges, as you adjust your clocks for Daylight Savings Time, take a moment to not only replace the batteries in your home smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, but to also update your family emergency preparedness kit. For information on what to include in your kit, check out the guidance EHS provides here."
I thought it was some excellent advice/info and while I'll be out of town it's going on my to do list when I get back.
While I'm on the subject of advice from the U and since this post is already FOREVER long I'm going to tell you if you don't have a fire escape plan you really should. In fact I think you should make one and practice it for FHE on monday night. The BTICU had a bad case a couple weeks ago and Aaron was once again reminded about the need for an escape plan. Also do me a favor and check your water heater. Here's a little info on how long it could take to get burned:
124 Degrees-3 minutes
127 Degrees-60 seconds
133 Degrees-15 Seconds
140 Degrees-5 Seconds
149 Degrees-2 Seconds
156 Degrees-1 Second
127 Degrees-60 seconds
133 Degrees-15 Seconds
140 Degrees-5 Seconds
149 Degrees-2 Seconds
156 Degrees-1 Second
On that note I hope you all have an excellent weekend.

Thanks for all those helpful tips. I've been reminded a few times lately to do the 72 hour kit and I'm sure that's a sign that we need to be prepared for something! I hope you have fun in San Fran. I'd probably have a panic or anxiety attack if I left Nixon alone for one night. But i'm sure your a LOT stronger than I am. I'm just to secluded in my own little world here. He'll be fine and even HAPPIER to see you when you get back. Just think about how awesome that hug and kiss from him will be!
Ange, sister, I love you, but that was the weirdest post in the world... and I think you have completely lost your mind. I still love you though. Oh and I just updated 72 hour kits last month and luckily student housing does all of that other stuff for us. Oh and I found out today that they come in once a year and scrub bathrooms, kitchens, and shampoo carpets if you want them to...yes please! Sorry for the brag but you do get to live in a massive house for a bit so I am not really feeling to awful for you.
I was trying to check out your archives but I couldn't remember how -- can you believe I've forgotten already what you told me. Oh well, I guess thats what happens when you get old. Anyway, I was so impressed with the pictures you've taken and I wanted to make comments on the ones I really liked.
You really amaze me with all that you do and I just want you to know how much I appreciate all that you do for me as well as for Aaron and baby "Bear".
