Decorations

Eric asked me to post some pictures when I got the Christmas Decorations up. So here it goes...

My mom doesn't know it yet, but I've staked claims on this manger set when she dies. Her grandmother made it and it is my favorite decoration.

Here's my Nativity Set. Someday I'll get the stable and stars but for now, it gets to sit on the shelf away from curious hands.

Our Christmas Village. It's small, but I like it.
I actually added the University and the graduate this year in honor of Aaron. (Did you know he finishes his Bachelor's degree this week). Anyway, I got a killer deal on these 2 pieces. They were half off-which never happens. I was more excited when I got home and realized they are numbered and limited editions--it just made a good deal even better.

The mantle and fireplace.

This is my mom's village. I often find Bear in the front room driving his cars down the "street"

Who knew her village came complete with the vehicles.

See what I meant about curious hands. I'm always telling him not to touch.

Who doesn't want to come to my house and be greeted by the cutest little guy? These 3 prints have replaced the big picture of George Washington my mom had hanging in the front room. I think I'll order 3 different prints after the holidays and leave George in hiding. (No offense mom)

Last but not least, the tree is redecorated every day. Shatterproof ornaments were the best purchase we've made this year. If I don't hear Bear for more than a few seconds I know exactly what he's doing...throwing the "balls"

Cleaning House

When mom moved I told her she HAD to leave her vacuum, I'm so glad she agreed.

This rug is right before coming into the house from the garage. See that white stuff, ya that the dogs nasty hair. I have to vacuum the rug a couple times a week. But look how well it sucks up the hair. (click on the picture to see it bigger-it really is so disgusting)

I know it's totally cheesy that I took a picture of the "mop" but once again it's amazing. Our whole apartment was the size of the kitchen/family room. Needless to say having to mop was a little overwhelming until I figured out how to use this. It's the Hoover Floor Mate. It scrubs the floor then sucks up the water and dries it. AMAZING. I also like that I can see when the water isn't dirty anymore so I know the floor is really clean.

These two things are a must since this little guy now insists on feeding himself.
