Happy Valentine's Day!

vday

We had a great Valentines Day (and Chinese New Year) today.
*Breakfast with heart shaped blueberry pancakes topped with strawberries, bananas, raspberries, peanut butter, syrup and whip cream (yum!)
*Fresh squeezed o.j. (Because the boys are my main squeezes)
*dressing Moose up in Bears 1st V-Day Shirt
*chocolate covered strawberries and cinnamon bears
*New Books
*Steak Dinner with sparkling cranberry juice
*Moose insisting on standing
*sleeping in the tent!

Hope your day was spent with the ones you love!
(just for kicks I'm posting a link to the picture of Bear in the shirt--it never ceases to amaze me how fast they grow)

You've had a birthday!

The man of the house turned the big TWO NINE last Sunday. Being Sunday we didn't do anything wild or crazy, unless you think going to church and then doing some home teaching is wild.

Saturday night I mixed up some cinnamon rolls and Sunday morning I was nice enough to let Aaron sleep in until 6:30. I know, you can all nominate me for the wife of the year award.

I let Aaron open a couple presents before church-he in turn let Bear do all the unwrapping.

You know you must be a poor graduate student when pens, gum, and some snack candy make a great birthday present.

{notice the 8x10's on the wall. Ya, we need to re-hang them-they were hung before I gave final approval on the spacing}

After a delicious dinner that Aaron cooked all by himself we had a razzleberry pie and sang happy birthday for the 3rd time.

We sure love Aaron and hope he had a great day.

Mike & Maeg

My cousin Mike married his sweetheart on August 6th in Bountiful. It was great timing for us because we got to see all of my mom's family one last time before moving. I couldn't resist bringing my camera to snag a couple pictures...I guess old habits die hard.

As you can see Bear was thrilled to be at the wedding.

Cute little Kaylie was the flower girl.

Still not happy about being at the wedding...

I loved the groom's cake!

Kaylie & James (I don't know what the black spot on James' suit is, I must have done it in photoshop...oops)

This was my foot 2 days after the bee sting. I ended up going to the wedding barefoot.

Maeg's mom made the cardboard Phil so he could be part of the wedding (he's in Canada on a mission)
My cute Grandparents with my cute boys.

If you ask me, I think Aaron cleans up quite nice.

Lulu turns 1

The day before we left our cute little nice turned 1. Ali threw Lucy a little birthday party at her in-laws that night. Let me tell you, John's family knows how to do homemade ice cream. Seriously. I have never tasted such good ice cream in my life. My mouth is salivating just thinking about (was that to much information???). I'm pretty sure I had 4 servings that night!

Unlce E with Moose. Have I mentioned that I REALLY miss our awesome family in Utah.

We got a kick out of the boys trying to roll down the hill in a pile. Amazingly enough no one was injured. And just a random bit of information for you--our family has 14 boys and 6 girls when it comes to grandkids. John's family has 14 girls and 6 boys. We always look forward to family events in Ali's family because we love getting together with John's parents and siblings.

Festival Days

We LOVE going to Festival Days. I'm starting to get a little sad when I think of all the fun things we won't be here for anymore. Since this was our last Festival Days while living in Utah I couldn't pass up the chance to take the boys.

Luckily for me, our friends drove past as we were getting ready to leave and invited us to sit with them. It was definitely better than sitting alone.

Peyton got this huge stuffed dog from one of the floats.

After the parade we went up to the park for the booths and blow up toys. Bear did the bounce house, and of course got hurt.

He loved riding the train and kept asking to go again.

We met up with Nana, Heather and her kids later in the day. Bear loved playing in the splash pad with his cousins and eating all of Heather's kettle corn.

It was so hot we stripped Moose down because the poor kid was sweating to death.

That night we went back to the park with Aaron & watched the fireworks. They were really good this year; Aaron especially liked the ones that made the loud booms then echoed off the mountains.

We love our little city and are going to miss it!
