The Yard

While Aaron was hiking the Middle Teton with his brother Matt at the end of June Bear and I were slaving away in the yard.  The morning Aaron left we went to one of the local nursery's and picked up a "couple" flowers. I really didn't have a clue what I was doing!

{all the plants before I figured out what to do with them}

{Gerber's are one of my favorites and I HAD to buy this one because it was different}

{At first Bear sat on the deck drank his bottle and just watched....
it was much easier that way!}

{My mom had SO MANY planters just full of dirt, I filled the wheel barrow with all the dirt then started filling the planters back up}

{a little peek-a-boo}

{Now the fun really begins}

{oops! I didn't buy enough flowers, which made for a second run to the nursery}

{The thyme is still alive which is good, I think I could still use a little more}

{I guess I don't have a green thumb afterall-this plant looked dead the next day. It's finally starting to come back}

{I wish you could feel the leaves on this-it's called an ice plant and I love it}

{while Bear and I were out of town last week all the snails ate my plants! Now they are just stems. Let's just say I wasn't too happy about it.}

Workin' in the Yard

Bear and I spent the day working in the backyard. This morning I did some planning (with the help of my amazing mother-in-law) and after Bear's nap we headed to the nursery.  Bear was such a good "helper" pushing the cart around.

Check out his silly face

After our little break I started planting the thyme between the stepping stones.

Once again I had a great "helper".
Then it was on to the back side of house. Mom wasn't really able to plant anything right here because Nikita dug everything up, so we're starting fresh.

I laid everything out and decided to wait for Aaron to get home before planting anything.

Before we called it a day we watered the thyme.

Bear decided he needed watering too.

He was such a mess that I took off his shirt and shorts before taking him inside. I ran in to get a drink of water and came back out to find this....

He really is such a great helper getting himself all ready for the bath!
