*Bear taking after his daddy already and playing with the ipod while taking care of business
*dishes, dishes and more dishes
*we got a fun valentine's day package in the mail from Pappy and Grammy. Bear took care of the conversation hearts for both he and Moose.
*Good Morning kisses for Moose are a daily favorite.
*Moose finally learned how to get the puffs into his mouth by himself although he still prefers to have someone do it for him.
*I wasn't feeling my best so we left aerobics early. I ended up finishing the abs workout at home.
*Will my couch ever be used to sit on again? If we move his cars Bear freaks out. I love little boys.
*Moose fell off our bed and got a few scrapes on his forehead and nose. I feel like I should get the worst mom of the day award for that one.
*Finally finished sewing the Valentine's Day Pillows April and I made. I'm impressed I finished them in time for Valentine's next year.
*Aaron decided it would be fun to go out for pizza. We went to Shakeys. Totally wouldn't recommend it-homemade pizza is so much better.
*Came home from pizza and ate some flag cake to celebrate the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Of course we put Bear to bed shortly after it started. Aaron and I passed out on the couch and woke up when it was over. Go USA!
*Bear and Aaron reading one last book before bedtime.

Pigtails

I feel a little out of practice when it comes to taking pictures of people besides my own kids. When my friend Maria told me she was going to surprise her husband and redecorate their house while he is at youth conference with Aaron this weekend, I told her she should surprise him with some new pictures of their little girl and that I'd take them if she wanted. This morning we met up with them at our complex and tried to get a couple pictures for her to hang up. These totally make me want to have a little girl with pigtails. Maybe I'll just have Moose grow his hair out because I don't think we'll be having a 3rd anytime soon.

All of these are cropped in so close because Bear wanted to be right next to her. I kept trying to get him to move, but he wasn't going for that. Anyway, it was fun to get out and photograph someone besides my own kids again.

Consider Yourself Warned.

I have decided I am going to start taking my camera everyone. Yes that's right, everywhere. And not just my little point and shoot, I mean my nice SLR. I am bound and determined to get my groove back and improve my photo skills.

I'm sure you'll start seeing lots of pointless pictures of our play dates and day to day stuff. For example, today we met up with the ward playgroup at the V.G. Fountain and a puppy store.

Remember, I warned you....

indecisive

I've been working on these pictures I took of my aunt's family back at the beginning of May. Tonight I came to this picture and couldn't decide which I like best, the color or the black and white. Also, a big congratulations to this gorgeous girl, she just received her mission call to Jacksonville, FL.

Which one do you like better?

Alpine Loop

This morning I made some yummy cinnamon rolls then we piled into the car and took a drive up the Alpine Loop to listen to conference and see the fall foliage. I figured this could very well be our last fall here so we better get out and enjoy it. We had never been on the drive before and it was so pretty (once we figured out where we were going). We started near Bridal Veil Falls and then made our way to Sundance for a picnic lunch.  Bear loved all the puddles and was soaked by the time we were done eating. It started raining again just as we were headed back to the car so we didn't get out for any other stops not to mention Bear was sockless, shoeless, and pantless due to his puddle jumping.

I had read that cascade springs was a must stop and see if you were taking the drive. After realizing it was at least a 15 minute hike and we had a half naked child we just kept on driving. BUT instead of turning around and heading back to the main road Aaron pulled out his trusty gps and found that there was a road that would take us right to Midway. Unfortunately the gps didn't tell us it was a dirt road :) Our detour ended up taking us over 45 minutes and by the time we were finished we had one unhappy little boy.

Overall it was a gorgeous drive and we had some great talks to listen to.

**disclaimer: there are A LOT of pictures. Most of them were taken from the passenger seat while driving so I know they are not all in focus but I still loved the colors and how the clouds were rolling down the mountain**

This little boy is so obsessed with water. He would have jumped in the river if we let him.

I told Aaron I wanted a picture of this rock as we pulled into Sundance, but there were cars behind us so he said we'd get it on the way out. Well, it was on his side so I had him take it. I had this vision in my head because the tree above the rock had golden leaves on it...notice the majority of the picture is the parking lot. When I said something to him he just told me to fix it in Photoshop....if only it were that easy!  And that is why I love him.

This is where we turned off the Alpine Loop to go to Cascade Springs. The scenery was totally different. While it was still nice I'm kinda bummed that we missed out on the rest of the golden aspens mixed in with the pine trees.

Looking down into Midway from the dirt road was a slice of Heaven on Earth. Bear really was done sitting in his car seat. It was nice to know we'd be home sooner rather than later.

To end the day Heather had us over for a yummy pork chop dinner. It was great not to worry about fixing dinner after spending the day in the car.

**I took so many more pictures than what I posted, but I figured enough was enough :)**
